December 10, 2009 - Albany County will
be holding free H1N1 vaccination clinics this week.
The clinic will be held Tuesday, December 15 and run through
Friday, December 18 at the Albany County Department of
Health. The clinics will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00
p.m. each day.
The free vaccinations will be provided at each clinic to all
Albany County residents 6 months and older. On December
10th, 2009 Governor David A. Paterson announced that,
effective immediately, H1N1 flu vaccine may be made
available to all New Yorkers who want to be vaccinated,
including those who are not in the initial target groups
established by the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention. Accordingly, consistent with the Governor’s
declaration, Albany County is now making the 2009 H1N1
vaccine available to all Albany County residents aged 6
months and older.
Pre-registration is required for the clinics. You can
register online at
www.albanycounty.com/health or by phone at (518)
447-4505. Phones are open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30
p.m.
These clinics are only for the target groups listed above.
Additional clinics will be held for County residents as more
vaccines becomes available. For more information, go to
