The Shaker Running website was named "Best High School Cross Country Website in America".

The website www.shakerrunning.com created by Shaker senior Brian Hickey, was recently named the “Best High School Cross Country website in America” by the national running site, www.xcnation.com.

Brian started the website four years ago to further an interest in web design and as a means to encourage, inform and recognize those athletes participating in the Boys and Girls running programs at Shaker High School.

The website features a weekly column, written by Brian called “The Inside Track” and also includes interviews and profiles of team members, photos, meet previews and results along with other useful information for team members and their families.

Brian is also a runner himself and he is currently competing in his 16th consecutive season as a member of the Shaker High School running teams.
