Loudonville Elementary School is sponsoring a
Fun, Fitness & Fund Walk-a-Thon event called "Miles in Their
Shoes", in hopes to raise money to care for orphans in the village
of Likoteng, in the Qholaqhoe mountain range of Lesotho, Africa.
Over the next several weeks, for three
days each week, members of the Loudonville School community will
be walking, running and navigating obstacle courses on the school
fields during recess periods. Each participant is asked to collect
pledges or flat donations to sponsor their participation. The goal
is for each person to raise at least $5.00.

"We choose the Qholaqhoe Mountain region of
Africa because of the dire needs of the people in this region, the
contrast in cultures, the sustainable nature of the work being
done, and the knowledge that 100% of our donations will go
directly to serving the children of the region," principal Kerry
Flynn said.
