The SHS field hockey teams made over
300 bagged lunches for the homeless at the Albany City
Mission. |
The Shaker High School field hockey teams
recently completed their community service project for the 2012-13
season.
Two years ago, the modified team made sandwiches
for the homeless at the Albany City Mission. Last year the JV and
varsity levels joined the Modified team and made bagged lunches
instead. This year, they once again made sandwiches for the
homeless, consisting of a PB&J sandwich, a cold cut sandwich, an
apple, a snack and a note from the team. They continued to bag
thelunches, but also dropped them of to the mission, and took a tour
of the mission, which ended up being a great experience for the
girls.
They ended up making over 300 bagged lunches!
