Our two clinics at the middle school last month fully vaccinated 600 people.
North and South Colonie CSD worked in collaboration with Colonie EMS and the Albany County DOH to provide an opportunity for community members ages 12 and older to get both doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on June 1 and 22. At the second clinic 215 people got their second dose and an additional 16 came for their first dose.
“We would not have reached these individuals as quickly without your assistance and influence and the support of Colonie EMS,” said Tricia Bulatao, Director of Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Performance Management at Albany County DOH.
Superintendent D. Joseph Corr said, “We were happy to do this. Many thanks to ACDOH and our partners in Colonie EMS for their collaboration in working to vaccinate our school community to ensure the safety of our schools and to ultimately facilitate a much needed return to in-person school. Much gratitude also to the staff of North and South Colonie who worked so hard to make this event a reality. We are always ready, willing, and able to collaborate with public health for community wellness. We are clearly all in this together!”
