Important Note about Rapid Test Kits
The North Colonie Central School District has received approximately 90 percent of our allotment of kits from New York state. The district’s allotment is based on our 2021 enrollment.
If you previously picked up a test kit for your student, DO NOT attempt to pick up another kit or have one sent home.
We anticipate getting the remaining 10 percent of our allotment of kits at a future time. We will distribute our current allotment until we run out.
Next Rapid Test Kit Distribution is Wed., Jan. 5
North Colonie Central School District will hold another distribution of rapid tests on Wed., Jan. 5. If you previously picked up a test kit for your student, DO NOT attempt to pick up another kit or have one sent home. We will distribute our current allotment until we run out.
The times and locations are different for elementary and middle school/high school students. Please see below for more information.
Elementary families
- On Wed., January 5, elementary families who were not able to pick up kits from the district previously may pick them up at their elementary school building between 4-6 p.m.
Middle School and High School families
- Shaker Middle School and Shaker High School families who were unable to pick up kits from the district previously may pick them up on Wed., January 5 between 5-7 p.m. at Shaker High School.
Additional tests
- If any additional tests remain, they will be kept in our school health offices to be utilized, with parent/guardian permission, for symptomatic students or surveillance testing to keep students and staff in school safely.
