Shaker High School junior Anabelle Vasquez was honored in Washington, D.C. recently as winner of the 2022 Congressional Art Competition in the 20th District of New York.
Anabelle’s artwork was chosen from among 24 student submissions representing nine high schools across the 20th congressional district. The winners from across the United States, in each district, were invited to the U.S. Capitol for a breakfast reception, Capitol tour, and a program led by members of Congress and key staff.
