Congratulations to the Shaker Varsity History Bowl and Shaker Junior Varsity History Bowl Teams who recently competed at the Syracuse Regional History Bowl Competition.
The Varsity team went 5-2 and defeated Bethlehem High School in the finals to win the Varsity Division. The Junior Varsity went 4-1 and defeated the host team, Bishop Ludden High School, to win the Junior Varsity Division. Both teams won “Champions” plaques for the school and qualified for Nationals in Arlington, Virginia in April as well as the International History Olympiad in Rome, Italy this summer.
Shashank Salgam, who also competed in the History Bee and placed 2nd, qualified for the History Bee Nationals and Internationals.
Congratulations to both teams on winning the Clubs’ first ever regional titles!
