On Wednesday, October 4th, a representative from the American Heart Association delivered two sets of CPR kits on behalf of the AHA and St. Peter’s Healthcare. Two sets of 10 hands-only CPR kits were donated to North Colonie Central School District at no cost. The kits include 10 CPR mannikins, 5 instructional DVDs, 10 AED simulators and 10 kneeling pads. The donation is valued at $649.
In October of 2014, former Governor Andrew Cuomo signed the CPR in Schools bill into law which means that now every graduate of a high school in New York State is trained to perform hands-only CPR. These kits will help Shaker High School comply with that CPR in Schools law.
