On Monday, October 16th, the Shaker girls volleyball program went pink in the fight against breast cancer. All teams sported pink jerseys, and in some cases pink sneakers and laces, during the annual “Dig Pink Game”. It was all in an effort to raise money for the Side-Out Foundation and its Dig Pink program which will go specifically toward patients with metastatic breast cancer, the most advanced form of the disease. It is also the least funded area of research. Shaker’s Dig Pink campaign raised nearly $1,000 for the foundation. Congratulations to all those involved in making this event a huge success!
