Seventh grade students from SJHS placed 2nd overall in this year’s regional Future City competition that challenged them to design a livable city on the Moon. Surabhi Krishnan, Lucas Zhang, and Surya Bommasani also took the top award for: Best City to Live In, Best City Skyline, and Best Surveying Practices. This is the second time they competed in Future City. The students said they learned so much from the process, their competitors, and judges’ critiques and feel confident in having a chance to place first overall next year.
