Loudonville Elementary fourth grader Julia Rivera recently won the “Art is Everywhere” challenge sponsored by the Art Center of the Capital Region in Troy. Her winning collage entry, “Lemon Sunrise,” won her a free art class from the center and a chance to get free classes for a year.
“She won by popular vote against some very stiff competition through the center,” Loudonville Art Teacher Kathryn Stanley said. “It’s really wonderful to have something so exciting happen during a trying time like this.”
