The North Colonie Central School District is excited to announce the start of its recruitment efforts for the 2025-2026 school year. North Colonie is seeking the most qualified and well-prepared educators to join its 2025-2026 team.
This week, two dedicated recruitment teams are traveling across New York State to connect with teaching candidates. On Wednesday, District administrators/recruiters attended the Western New York Teacher Recruitment Day (TRD) at the Niagara Falls Convention Center, where they joined 250 other recruiters from across the state. North Colonie met with candidates from 11 colleges in the Western New York area. With more than 450 students expected to attend, the district pre-selected candidates for interviews at this full-day event.

On Thursday, another recruitment team traveled to SUNY Cortland to participate in the Central New York Teacher Recruitment Day (TRD), met with students and conducted on-the-spot interviews. These efforts are part of North Colonie’s ongoing commitment to seeking the best educators who meet all certification requirements by September 1, 2025.
By actively recruiting teachers at these events, North Colonie is ensuring that their students are on the path to receiving the utmost quality education.
“We are always in search of the next generation of teachers ready to enter the workforce. We owe it to our students to bring in educators who not only align with our mission here at North Colonie, but who will also care for our students as individuals and prepare them for what lies ahead in the future,” said Superintendent Kathleen Skeals. “This week, two of our teams are on a mission to help us do just that.”
