Earlier this morning, we learned of the sudden death of one of our 10th grade students on Monday, May 24. Our thoughts are with Destiny Greene’s family and friends during this difficult time. A number of support meetings and counseling services are being held for students and staff throughout the day today, to help process this terrible tragedy.
Counselors are available in the counseling center at Shaker High School for any student or staff person who needs to talk or grieve. Counseling and support resources for families are forthcoming and will be shared before the end of the school day.
“We are profoundly saddened by this unspeakable tragedy,” said Superintendent Corr. “Our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers go out to Destiny’s family, friends and our community.”
