Registration is open for the 2022 Teen Summer Symposium on Human Rights. This three-day virtual teen leadership workshop is open to eighth grade students to recently graduated high school students interested in social justice, history, and international relations. Organized by North Colonie faculty, Thea MacFawn and Kelly Wetherbee, and now in its eighth year, over 450 students from 24 area schools, as well as students from schools across the country, have attended to date.
Through workshops and activities, students will learn about major human rights issues including: Racial Justice, Voting Rights, War in Ukraine, Economic Justice, Environmental Justice, Women’s Rights, Food Insecurity, LGBTQ+ Rights ,Youth Organizing,
