Seven of our eighth grade students from Shaker Middle School competed in the Greater Capital Region Science and Engineering Fair at RPI on Saturday, March 15 and earned tremendous accolades. Since October, the students listed below have dedicated themselves to exploring a scientific phenomenon, carrying out an investigation and analyzing the results. They then presented their findings to a team of judges at RPI. Madeline and Sharvesh have both received an invitation to continue on to the Thermo-Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge. Sharvesh has also been invited to STANYS State Science Congress. Special thanks to their teacher, Mrs. Nicole Burke, for her guidance in helping these incredibly talented students prepare for the event.
