Shaker High School is honored to have 11 students chosen as a performer or alternate in the 2022 New York State Music Association (NYSSMA) All-State Festival to be held in early December.
The All-State experience begins with a music educator, his or her student, and an accompanist spending countless hours preparing a NYSSMA Level VI solo, according to North Colonie District Music Supervisor Deborah Keough.
Last spring, over 6,500 sophomores and juniors from across the state of New York prepared for All-State evaluations in the hope of being selected.
