FROM THE OFFICE OF SUPERINTENDENT D. JOSEPH CORR
NORTH COLONIE WELCOMES BACK OVER 6,000 STUDENTS
“Monday was an outstanding day!” Superintendent D. Joseph Corr said. “It is what I love about our district. It represents an entire community … faculty, support staff, students, and families joining together to provide the noble service of educating. We are at our best on such days!”
OUR SEPTEMBER KIDS CARE: BENSON JOVEL-TRUONG
Acknowledging our students who put forth extra time, effort, and care is a standing-tradition in North Colonie CSD. And we are proud to launch our 2022-23 school year Kids Care with SHS Senior Benson Jovel-Truong named the September 2022 recipient!
Benson, aspiring to be a music major in college, spent four weeks over the summer preparing the song “Thankful” to perform at the teacher opening day Sept. 6. His performance was meant with tears and smiles, followed by a standing ovation that had people jumping from their seats.
The Board of Education will be recognizing Benson during its Monday, Sept. 19 meeting. Congratulations, Benson! Learn more about Benson here.
🎉 WEEKLY BOOST 🎉
Mrs. Morse’s Kindergarten class kicked off #ArtsInEducationWeek with a special project… and even Superintendent D. Joseph Corr and Dr. Parker, principal of Forts Ferry, couldn’t resist the opportunity to bring home a souvenir for the fridge door!
