Linda Harrison is currently serving her 12th year as President of the Board of Education and is co-chair of the Policy Committee. She has also served as Board Vice-President and co-chair of the Community Board Relations, Employee Relations, Audit and Curriculum committees. Linda was a social studies teacher for 35 years, 34 years at Shaker High School and since 2005 she has been employed by the New York State Education Department as an educational specialist in the Office of State Assessment.

Matthew Cannon
Matt Cannon is a 2002 Shaker High School graduate and has been a member of the Board of Education since 2019. He is currently the Director of Development and Government Affairs at Albany International Airport. Prior to being elected to the Board he was President of the Shaker All-Sport Booster Club and he can still be found cheering on the Bison at Shaker sporting events. Matt and his wife Melissa live in Latham with their two children, Jackson and Brooke.

Mary Alber
Mary Alber is the mother of two Shaker High School students and is a former president of the North Colonie
PTA Council, North Colonie SEPTA, Shaker High School PTA, and is the former secretary of the Shaker Middle School PTA. She also served as a representative on the Board of Education Budget Committee multiple years. Mary is currently co-chair of the Board's Audit Committee and is the Board's representative for the Shaker High School SEPTA. Mary has worked in the field of information technology for over 25 years, over 23 with New York State, and is currently employed with the New York State Teachers'® Retirement System.

Nicholas Comproski
Nicholas Comproski attended North Colonie Schools from kindergarten through his graduation from Shaker High School in 2010. He is the co-chair of the Board's Long Range Planning and Curriculum committees. Nick has served as an instructional supervisor in the Schenectady City School District and as an adjunct professor at the College of Saint Rose in its teacher preparation program. In the fall of 2024, he will finish his Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Russell Sage College. Nick is a firefighter/EMT, a lieutenant and former board of director in Colonie's Maplewood Volunteer Fire Department.

Michelle Dischiavo
Michelle Dischiavo is a graduate of Shaker High School and served on the Forts Ferry PTA as vice president and president before her election to the Board of Education. She has served as co-chair of the Curriculum and Wellness committees and is now co-chair of the Employee Relations Committee.
Michelle was a Special Education teacher for 12 years prior to establishing her own business. She has two daughters who have attended North Colonie schools.

Ayesha Geter
Ayesha Geter is a graduate of Troy High School and a Bryant & Stratton College of Albany alum. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Empire State College. She has worked as administrative support at various levels of education for over 20 years including Grants and Program Development, K-12 Special Education, Higher Education, and Adult Continuing Education. In her current role as Program Coordinator at Capital Region BOCES NERIC Division, she implements, trains, and supports school districts with cafeteria software. Ayesha has served as a member of the North Colonie Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) since 2018 and most recently served as a 2024 Budget Committee Member. Most importantly, she is a parent of two Shaker High School student-athletes and a kindergartener.

Samuel Johnson
Samuel Johnson grew up in Ohio before moving to New York to attend RPI. He spent several years in the Navy, earning his wings as a Naval Aviator before returning to the Capital District to raise his family. He currently works as an application security engineer in the healthcare industry, and has also taught at his alma mater as an adjunct professor for both the Computer Science and Information Technology departments. He was active in the Blue Creek community, serving on the PTA, Building Council and Safety committees, as well as being the PTA representative on the Budget Committee for a number of years before being elected to the Board in 2020. He currently has four children in North Colonie schools.

Mary Nardolillo
Mary Nardolillo has served as Vice President and President of the Board and has chaired the Community Board Relations and Employee Relations committees. Mary currently co-chairs the Audit Committee and is chair of the Budget Committee. Prior to her election to the Board she was the president of the Southgate PTA. Until her retirement, Mary was the office administrator for Laborers' Local Union 190 and now works in the office of the St. Pius School. She is also the Director of Religious Education at St.Pius. Mary's two daughters are graduates of Shaker High School.

Melissa Veino
Melissa Veino is a graduate of Shaker High School and currently has three daughters enrolled in North Colonie schools. She is a proud graduate of Boston College and Albany Medical College and has been a general pediatrician with St. Peter's Health Partners Medical Associates since 2012. She has served as a member and Chair of the Pediatric Joint Operating Committee, which strives to incorporate physician-led decision making into corporate management. Melissa served as secretary and president of the Boght Hills PTA and president of the PTA Council.
Melissa's career and interests lie in supporting the growth and development of children and brings that perspective to Board service.
