In addition to our four National Merit Scholarship semifinalists, Shaker High School has 16 Commended Students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. Each of these talented seniors received a letter of commendation from Principal Marcus Puccioni in honor of the recognition. This group is among 34,000 Commended Students throughout the country who placed in the top five percent of the 1.5 million students who entered by taking the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
