The Shaker High School PTSA’s main goal is to support our school and the students while providing opportunities for student leadership development in the following areas:

• community service

• gratitude

• charity

Joining the PTSA is a simple way to show your support for our school, and you are not obligated to volunteer or attend meetings. If you are wondering what the Shaker PTSA is all about…Our PTSA organizes the Staff Appreciation Breakfast, and our quarterly meetings are a great way to hear first hand from the administration what is happening at school.  Email us with any questions: Email Shaker PTSA.

All general PTSA meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Counseling Center Conference Room. The meeting dates for the 2024-25 school year are as follows:

• September 18

• November 19

• February 4

• April 8

You are able to enroll online. Membership is valid from July 1- June 30. 

• Student Memberships are $7 each

• Teacher/Staff Memberships are also $7 each

• All other Adult Members are $10 each

We strongly encourage students to join and attend meetings on a regular basis to give a voice to their experiences and needs.

The North Colonie Special Education PTA was chartered on January 15, 2008, with 31 members. The North Colonie Special Education PTA is the first of its kind in our region. It serves special education and gifted students in grades preK–12. New members are welcome to join by attending upcoming meetings or by contacting the president.
